Harry Hall

Harry Hall

In 1891 a bootmaker and tailor called Harry Hall established his own tailoring business in the West End of London. He advertised with the slogan “Hall marked clothes are the best.” The slogan appeared on brass letter openers, barometers and buttonhooks that were distributed free throughout England.

Hall’s business grew and the company began to specialise in hunting and equestrian clothing.

Harry Hall’s original shop was destroyed in the London Blitz during the Second World War, though his company continues today, dealing in sportswear, leisurewear, footwear and horse riding gear.
