Higgins, Eagle & Co. Ltd. were lace and embroidered muslin manufacturers and wholesalers.
The company was established in London sometime in the mid-19th century by Richard Higgins.
By 1862 the company was titled Higgins, Eagle & Hutchinson and by the 1880s Hutchinson was no longer partner.
The firm also had branches in Manchester, Birmingham, Liverpool, Leeds, Glasgow and Edinburgh. Apart from lace and embroidery, the company also sold such items as plain and figured nets, silk and cotton blouses, underclothing, baby linen, aprons and ribbons.
