Moore, Taggart & Co.

Moore, Taggart & Co.

Moore, Taggart & Co. was a drapery business established in Glasgow in 1868 which evolved to become a manufacturer of military and railway uniforms in the early 20th century.

The company’s heyday seems to have been the period of the First World War. The company featured strongly in the kitting out of Canadian units and the Scottish Highland Regiments.

Moore, Taggart & Co. appears to have ceased trading in 1977.
